Are High-Powered Microwave Close-In Weapon Systems Destined For US Navy Ships?.

BAE Systems looks to integrate its microwave close-in weapon system onboard U.S. Navy platforms to provide additional naval capacities against threats such as aircraft, boats, drones and missiles, The Drive reported Thursday.

The company’s microwave weapon is equipped with an array of planar emitters and uses the Mk38 defense platform currently mounted on vessels around the world.

Request for Information – Risk, Fraud and Development Security and Operations (DEVSECOPs) Services.

The U.S. Citizenship Immigration Services has posted a request for information on potential sources of risk, fraud and development security and operations services.

USCIS said in a FedBizOpps notice posted Wednesday that the required services will be deployed on the agency’s Amazon Web Services-built cloud platform and other cloud environments as required.

Proposed services should be able to support application development through DevSecOps and “agile” methods.

Booz Allen Achieves AWS APN Security Competency Status

Amazon Web Services has granted an AWS Partner Network Security Competency designation to Booz Allen Hamilton in recognition of the latter’s efforts to develop cloud-based products that work to help clients manage various information technology functions.

Booz Allen said Thursday the APN Security Competency status also represents the company’s capacity to offer specialized software platforms for customers to develop and implement security measures via AWS cloud.
