Rakuten Chairman and CEO Hiroshi Mikitani has requested Osaka Prefecture to offer a privately owned hotel in Osaka.

It will be used as a recipient of mild coronavirus infections.

Mr. Mikitani’s hotel has 598 rooms.

Osaka Prefecture was looking for a hotel to accept asymptomatic and mildly ill patients.

Governor Yoshifumi Yoshimura of Osaka Prefecture also retweeted on the 5th, saying “I’m grateful for your feelings” on the suggestion of Mr. Mikitani.
