China: Build a new aircraft carrier: Type 003 satellite imagery

Maxar Technologies has analyzed the latest satellite imagery.
It turns out that China is making significant progress in building a new aircraft carrier.
Analysis of the latest images confirmed part of the design.
Unlike conventional aircraft carriers, it has a flat flight deck and catapult (injection device).

High-resolution satellite images taken in May 2021 were analyzed by Washington, D.C.-CSIS experts.

An aircraft carrier called “Type 003” was captured at the Jiangnan Shipyard in Shanghai.
This is the third aircraft carrier in China.
CSIS Report:
Satellite images taken 6 weeks later were analyzed.
It turned out that the basic superstructure, as well as the flight deck and sponson, was almost complete.
CSIS said in a July 14 report.
CSIS estimate:
The total length of this new aircraft carrier is about 318 meters.
It is larger than the already commissioned “Liaoning” and “Shandong”.
Also, the superstructure has become smaller.
There was more space on the flight deck to carry larger aircraft.
The flight deck of the aircraft carrier is flat.
The latest photo clearly shows the catapult injection system.
