🏗Succeeded in ore recovery from the ocean floor, the first in the world – One step towards the development progress of ‘domestic’ resources
The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Japan Oil and Gas-Metals and Mineral Resources Organization (JOGMEC) announced on the 26th that it was the world’s first successful demonstration test of ore recovery from the ocean, which was carried out in the waters near Okinawa Prefecture. In the future, we will investigate accurate reserves of ocean resources and evaluate economic efficiency for commercialization.
