South Korean navy receives second PKX-B missile craft
HHIC has delivered the second PKX-B attack craft on order for the Republic of Korea Navy
The vessel will strengthen the service’s defences against swarm attack tactics
South Korean shipbuilder Hanjin Heavy Industries and Construction (HHIC)
has delivered the second Patrol Killer Experimental-B (PKX-B)-class fast attack craft on order for the Republic of Korea Navy (RoKN).
The vessel,
which bears the pennant number 212,
was handed over on 26 November at HHIC’s shipyard in Busan, the country’s Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) announced on the same day.
Vessel 212 is part of a contract for a first batch of PKX-B vessels that was confirmed in 2014.
