Industrial Robo: Automatic shoes production at ASICS, ROBO – more than twice the efficiency
ASICS developed an automatic production system by industrial robot as a new production method of shoes.
The production system developed this time is an automation of the bonding process of the upper (shoes) of the shoe and the sole mainly.
Plasma processing of the adhesion surface, conveyance, and application of adhesive are performed with a robot.
Production efficiency of this process was increased by more than twice as much as before.
