💰Powerful FinTech: Circle acquires Polyniex at 400 Million Dollars for Virtual Currency Exchange
Circle (not disclosed) announced that it will purchase US virtual currency exchange Poloniex for 400 million dollars.
Circle is a FinTech company developing and managing a P2P (peer-to-peer) payment system, with headquarters in Boston. The company raises funds from VC such as Goldman Sachs, Axel, General Catalyst, etc.
Poloniex is one of the best virtual currency exchanges in the U.S. and is known for its large number of currencies handled, in particular, the high handling volume of Eliaryam. It is the virtual currency exchange which broke through 1 billion dollars for the first time at a transaction volume of 1 day.
