Chinese Automaker JAC To Start Selling Electric Vehicles In Brazil
JAC is going to start selling the JAC iEV7S in Brazil.
The JAC iEV7S has now been rebranded as the iEV40 and it is going to be imported from China into Brazil for consumer sales.
JAC Brazil
is a partnership between the SHC group and JAC and it has operated in Brazil for a number of years, but this is the first time it will sell an electric car in the Americas.
That price of 139,990 BRL will make it the cheapest electric vehicle in the Brazilian market.
Adding the JAC iEV40, there are five electric vehicles that will be available in Brazil by the end of 2019:
• The BMW i3 for 199,950 BRL ($50,542)
• The Nissan Leaf for 178,400 BRL ($45,094)
• The Chevrolet Bolt for 174,990 BRL ($44,232)
• The Renault Zoe for 149,990 BRL ($37,913)
• And now the JAC iEV 40 for 139,990 BRL ($35,385)
