Mazda CX-30 and Mazda3 Recalled Mazda is recalling 24,000 CX-30 SUVs and Mazda3 small cars from the 2020 model year to inspect and tighten bolts on the front brakes.
If the front caliper mounting bolts (which hold the components that squeeze the brake discs to slow the car) come loose, brake performance could be reduced and the bolt could interfere with wheel rotation.
Either scenario increases the risk of a crash.
Mazda estimates just 1 percent of this group has this defect.
However, all owners of these vehicles should take the problem seriously and have their SUV or car inspected as soon as possible.
This recall is expected to begin Aug. 11, 2020.
