ニューヨーク市内マンハッタンの集合住宅賃貸価格は、昨年12月にほぼ４年で最大の下落となった。借り手側の選択肢が増える中、貸主は入居者獲得のため家賃を大きく引き下げている。
不動産鑑定のミラー・サミュエルと不動産仲介のダグラス・エリマン・リアル・エステートがまとめた11日付のリポートによると、12月の賃貸料は中央値で月額3295ドル（約36万7800円）と、前年同月比で2.7％下落。2014年２月以来最大の下落率となった。
