电影博物馆将在洛杉矶开幕

电影学院博物馆（Academy Museum of Motion Pictures）是洛杉矶的一个专门展示电影的新博物馆。

Movie sets, costumes and other memorabilia from historic cinema masterpieces
are on display in the nearly 4,600 square-meter exhibition area.
Among the exhibits
are C-3PO from “Star Wars” and the pair of red slippers that Judy Garland wore in the 1939 film “The Wizard of Oz.”One room
features an immense painting of Mount Rushmore, which was used as a backdrop in director Alfred Hitchcock’s classic “North by Northwest.”The museum’s inaugural temporary exhibition
is dedicated to Japanese animated film director Miyazaki Hayao.The items on display include original image boards, character designs and storyboards.
Academy Award-winning actor Tom Hanks
said it’s important that Los Angeles have a showcase for the movie business.
He said that movies continue to be the magical art that speaks to everybody everywhere.
