BMW’s FCEV development:

Introducing iX5 Hydrogen:

’Installing hydrogen filling equipment at existing service stations’ is easy.

Disadvantages of FCEV:

The problems include the size of the fuel tank and the lack of hydrogen stations.

EU filling station:

1. Plan to install it in cities with a population of 100,000 or more by 2030.

2. Filling stations will be installed at intervals of 200 km.

This is automatic operation 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Drivers can fill it themselves.

The initial focus will be on large vehicles, but a 700bar base for passenger cars will also be included.

As of November 2023,

In Europe, Germany is overwhelmingly the country with 105 installations.

In North America, the land area is large and there are 116 locations.

The largest number is in China, with 300 locations.

There are many manufacturers around the world who want to use green hydrogen in FCEV technology.

BMW is developing fuel cells and small tanks for its sports coupe.

It has a longer cruising range than an EV. 500km with iX5 Hydrogen.

The battery is small. Do not use rare metals such as cobalt.
