Tokyo, July 31 (Jiji Press)–Tokyo Gas Co. <9531> said Monday it has acquired a 24.9 pct stake in a subsidiary of state-run PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corp. to launch natural gas distribution operations in the Southeast Asian country. The Japanese company is believed to have invested some 5.4 billion yen for the acquisition of the stake, informed sources said. JIJI PRESS
