“Luckin coffee”:
China’s emerging coffee chain, “Luckin Coffee” (Chinese name: 瑞)
On July 8, it announced that 10 kinds of tea-based beverages were newly sold in 3,000 stores in 40 cities in China.
It is a coffee chain store that began full-scale operation in May of 2018.
In addition to store sales, we also offer online sales and delivery via apps (see article on August 9, 2018).

2nd place: “HEYTEA”
On July 8, Tencent and the investment fund Kousugi received an investment of 9 billion yuan (about 144 billion yen, 1 yuan = about 16 yen).
The number of HEYTEA stores has more than tripled in two years, from 80 in 2017 to 293 in 2019.
Tea-based beverages such as milk tea are popular in China.
Market sales in 2019 are expected to top 60 billion yuan (Chudian Industry Research Institute December 12, 2018).
Luckin coffee: characteristic
