2020-12-30

美国商务部(DOC)

在对从韩国,台湾,泰国和越南出口到美国的乘用车和轻型卡车轮胎的反倾销税调查中宣布了肯定的初步裁定。

The DOC says

it has “preliminarily determined that exporters have dumped passenger tires in the United States” at rates of

  • 14.24% to 38.07% for South Korea,
  • 52.42% to 98.44% for Taiwan,
  • 13.25% to 22.21% for Thailand,
  • and up to 22.30% for Vietnam.

“As a result of today’s decisions, Commerce will instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection to collect cash deposits from importers of passenger tires from South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam, based on the preliminary rates noted above.”

The DOC

is scheduled to announce its final determinations in these cases on or about May 14, 2021, unless the deadline is extended.

Korean Tire Makers Concerned about U.S. Anti-dumping Tariffs

The United Steelworkers (USW) filed a complaint with the U.S. Department of Commerce and the ITC in May, claiming that tires made in Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam sold below fair prices in the United States, said industry watchers on Dec. 30.

The USW asserted that dumping margins for imported tires was

45.95 to 195.20 percent for those from Korea,

21.00 to 102.00 percent for those from Taiwan,

106.40 to 217.50 percent for those from Thailand,

14.73 to 33.06 percent for those from Vietnam.
