- 3Dプリント/PBTパウダーの AM Polymers 社と、
- PBT（ポリブチレンテレフタレート）の共同開発/販売で、
独占的業務提携で合意しました。
AM Polymers 社：
3D プリンティングの製法の一つである粉末造形法に使用される樹脂パウダーを専門に取り扱っています。
3D プリンターの市場が拡大している欧州を中心に、顧客基盤を確立しています。
「ポリプロピレン/ポリエチレン樹脂を粉末化する過程で、 3D プリント用に、造形性・物性を強化する技術」に優れています。
新商品を共同開発：
今回、三菱ケミカルが、「PBT を3D プリンティング用にカスタマイズし、難燃性/物性を付与したパウダー」を共同開発しました。
このPBT は、「樹脂パウダーとして主流のPA12（ナイロン 12）に比べ、吸水性が低く、造形時の取り扱いが容易」です。
また、造形時間も短く、量産性が必要とされる自動車や航空機部品への採用が期待されます。
近日中に顧客評価のため、試作品を欧州にて順次提供します。
